Thank
you to all of our parent volunteers who donated items or helped at bunny
workshop. The students had a fantastic time decorating eggs, making a bunny
snack, playing bunny games, and hunting for eggs. We really couldn’t do it without
all the help from parents – so thank YOU! Here are a few pictures from our Easter activities!

St. Patrick's Day
We prepared for St. Patrick's Day by reading The Night Before St. Patrick's Day. After reading all about leprechaun's, we hoped one would stop by our room to celebrate the holiday! We set a trap in the front of the room. :)
On St. Patrick's Day, we wore green necklaces all day. We were always
on the lookout for our own leprechaun, and over lunch he paid us a
visit! He left us a note and did all kinds of silly things to our room,
including hiding 100 "golden nuggets" all around. We had fun finding
them and practicing how to count by 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s! He also left us a yummy green treat!
We also ended our FFF with a game of leprechaun-O!
Spring Day
This FFF, we celebrated spring! We read
lots of Spring books and wrote about what we love to do in the Spring!
We also celebrated Easter by making a giant egg out of water color and sweetened condensed milk! We loved seeing it dry shiny and colorful.
Then, of course, we ended our FFF with egg-o!
We also celebrated spring by doing a jellybean day! We graphed and sorted our jelly beans, did jelly bean math, and played jellybean-o!
To end our jellybean day, we read a book all about jelly beans!
Dr. Seuss
We had a full few weeks celebrating Dr. Seuss. We started out by celebrating Cat in the Hat!
We loved looking like the cat, and reading rhyming words like him too!
This week really helped us with our -at family words, like in our poem "Cats in Hats." We also ended our celebration by playing Hat-O!
During Dr. Seuss week, we had lots of guest readers. We heard all kinds of Dr. Seuss books, but one of our favorites had to Bartholomew and the Oobleck! We ended our week with this special book.
We were curious what Oobleck felt like, so we made our own! It was a fun, gooey way to end our week of Dr. Seuss. :)
President's Day
This President's Day we did a whole week of President's Day centers. We especially loved learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and did lots of activities to learn more about them. Our favorite was measuring with Lincoln's pennies!
We also sang a song about our President's and marched around the room singing in our Washington hats. We loved saluting to our flag!
And, like most Fun Friday's, we ended our day by playing Washington-O! It was a great way to end our week of presidents.
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day was busy this year since it was the same day as our Dragon Dash. We got to celebrate by sharing and making Valentine's, but also by raising money for our school! What a great day to be in Kindergarten. :)
We also got our mail delivery hats ready, so we could be a "mailman" and deliver our valentine's to our friends!
Then after our dragon dash, we made our Valentine's for our parents. It was fun to use Valentine's Day colored tissue paper. We also played a fun game of heart-o!
And of our course our favorite part of the day was sharing our valentine's with friends. I loved hearing the "thank you's" and the "I love it!" from all around the room. :)
